It's National Brunch Month! Here are two recipes to try.

Hi Reader,

April is National Brunch Month, and I'll take any excuse to make a special breakfast on the weekend!

I thought about sending you my pumpkin waffles, because the pecan syrup is really good, but then I thought maybe you won't be in the mood for that... I mean, it JUST became Spring.

So, instead, how about some rich Nutella pancakes with a delicious mascarpone cream?

I'm also including an easy-to-make granola parfait, in case you'd rather have something healthier that can also easily feed multiple people. (This recipe uses that granola recipe I shared with you recently!)

Speaking of Spring, the weather was finally warm enough for me to open up my garden and get some spring seeds planted. I'll share more on that below!

Nutella Pancakes

These have Nutella mixed right into the batter! Serve with mascarpone cream for a special brunch treat!

Granola Parfait

Layers of creamy Greek yogurt, crunchy granola, and fresh fruit. Easy to make and to scale up for a crowd.

Reply and let me know which one of these recipes you'd rather make!

πŸ₯• Garden Update

It was so nice to get out into the garden this week. My mom and I have been waiting impatiently for the weather to be warm enough to get things started.

I planted carrots, turnips, radishes, spinach and these:

I haven't had any luck growing Corn Salad greens in the past, but this variety looks promising!

Also, I've never eaten these before, and I'm so curious about what they taste like.

Have you eaten them? If so, I'd love for you to reply and let me know what they're like! (Am I going to regret planting these?)

Anyway, that's all for this week! I hope your Spring is off to a great start.

Hi Reader, Berry season is here, and I have two new salad recipes to share this week. Both feature fresh summer berries and come together quickly as a side dish or a light lunch. πŸ“πŸ« If the idea of fruit in a savoury salad sounds a little odd, don't worry. The berries actually add a nice pop of sweetness that balances out the other flavours really well. Hi Reader, I hope you’ve had a wonderful week! We celebrated Canada Day here on Wednesday, and I know many of my readers in the US are heading into a big holiday weekend right now. Whether you are firing up the grill or just settling into a relaxing Friday night, I have the perfect drink to kick back with. To my friends in the US, think of this as an upgraded, deeply savoury cousin to the classic Bloody Mary, made with clam juice! If you have never tried a Canadian Caesar cocktail before, I...
